What does a typical day look like for your role at Motion Connected?
“My role is quite varied. I focus heavily on system development, where I work on coding new features, resolving bugs, and implementing system improvements. Additionally, I support our team with technical issues and IT requests from our employees, ensuring smooth operations across the board.”
What drew you to a career with Motion Connected?
“I was very lucky in regard to finding this job. I was in my final semester at NWTC and had my resume posted on the school’s job website and got an email from Michael one day. We talked via email and phone and then I was invited for an interview after which I was offered the position. I have stayed with the company despite offers from other companies, because Motion Connected is very family and employee oriented. If I need time to take care of my kids or have a family emergency I don’t have to worry about my work. Instead I can focus on being the best husband, father, and employee I can be.”
What are some of your proudest career moments at Motion Connected?
“I’ve had several proud moments, including designing and building online resources, enhancing our support systems, and developing new platform functionalities like automating biometrics point awards. Each achievement contributes to our mission of delivering top-notch services to our clients.”
What interests or hobbies do you pursue outside of work?
“Outside of work, I cherish spending time camping with my family in the summer and engaging in outdoor activities during the fall. I also enjoy fishing with my kids, taking on home improvement projects—like renovating my basement and rooms—and nurturing my garden.”

“My role is dynamic and diverse. I spend my days collaborating with teams to align on customer feedback, developing engagement strategies, and participating in product development and client meetings. It’s a blend of strategy, creativity, and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
What drew you to a career with Motion Connected?
“Having worked as an occupational therapist and a pharmaceutical representative, I’ve always been passionate about the health industry. Founding and working at Motion Connected has been refreshing because, rather than promoting health one patient at a time or through prescriptions, we can drive healthier lifestyles and smarter consumerism on a larger scale through employers. I’m incredibly passionate about the Motion Connected mission, which makes everything I do more enjoyable and fulfilling.”
What are some of your proudest career moments at Motion Connected?
“There have been so many rewarding moments! I’m particularly proud of the impact we’ve had through initiatives like BenIQ, our healthcare literacy course, which has significantly boosted participant confidence in navigating healthcare and benefits. Hearing success stories from clients and participants reinforces the value of what we do.”
Beyond your role, what interests or hobbies do you pursue?
“I have a wide range of interests outside of work. I’m passionate about gardening and foraging for medicinal plants and mushrooms. I enjoy crafting herbal medicines, longboarding to work, and even creating balloon animals and art. Recently, I’ve taken on the exciting project of planting a vineyard for future winemaking.”

“No day is the same for me at Motion Connected! It’s a mix between sharing content with our followers, finding the next great culture webinar guest, mocking new UI enhancements, or supporting our sales team with flyers and communication around our product scope and features.”
What drew you to a career with Motion Connected?
“I liked the idea of being a part of a technology solution that was finding modern ways to solve common issues. I liked the idea of using my design and communication skills to fill those gaps and find new ways to help organizations engage their workforce in healthier lifestyles.”
What are some of your proudest career moments at Motion Connected?
“I think having my booth design brought to life at National SHRM last year was a big moment. Along with crafting a user interface experience that’s helped one of our biggest clients successfully manage their 50,000 users.”
What interests or hobbies do you pursue outside of work?
“Outside the office, I love to read, get active, and spend time with my two daughters, husband, family, and friends. You can find me watching HGTV with a big cup of coffee, enjoying the sunshine with my daughters, or out in the Green Bay area trying a new Friday fish fry joint and sipping a whiskey old fashioned press with olives.”

“My day starts with staying updated on technology trends, cybersecurity issues, and updates relevant to our systems. Once fueled by my morning coffee, I dive into overseeing IT projects, checking in with our talented team, and tackling assigned programming tasks.”

“I initially collaborated with Motion Connected as a freelancer to develop a website tracking organization activities using Fitlinxx devices. “There have been countless fulfilling moments, but hearing firsthand how our services positively impact lives stands out. Every success story reinforces my belief in our mission and the value we bring to our users.”

“Outside of work, I’m passionate about connecting with nature through managing a local preserve, biking, hiking, and gardening. To unwind, I enjoy listening to music albums, watching movies, and simply appreciating the tranquility of evenings outdoors.”

What does a typical day look like for your role at Motion Connected?
“I’m not sure there is a typical day, we wear many hats here, so our days are always different. Our first focus is to help our clients and the participants, and then after that, we get to collaborate as a team, create content, and are always looking for ways to enhance and improve the Motion Connected experience.”
What drew you to a career with Motion Connected?
“My interest in health and wellness really started to grow when I began college, leading me to switch my major to Exercise Science and Health Promotion. This degree offers many career paths, but I’ve always been drawn to the corporate wellness world. With Motion Connected, I have the opportunity to work with multiple companies and make a positive impact on employees across the nation.”
What are some of your proudest career moments at Motion Connected?
“I have been with Motion Connected for six years now, and seeing all that we have accomplished in those six years and where we have come as a company is pretty amazing. Seeing the impact our team is making—something we are doing and creating—that would be my proudest moment.”
What interests or hobbies do you pursue outside of work?
“My life outside the office is my kids. They are 12 and 14 and very active with sports, so I spend my time driving them where they need to go and traveling with them to their games and tournaments. I’m active myself and try to fit in as much running in as I can. I typically have a friend or partner with me during my runs, so I get some social time in too.”

“My focus is primarily on developing new partnerships and expanding opportunities with our existing partners. As such, my time is split between learning about prospective partners in order to share how we can align with their client’s needs and reviewing current client programs to see how we can continue to enhance outcomes. Another key focus for my time is working internally to provide feedback that helps shape our evolving solutions and ensure that we work collaboratively to support our partner’s and customer’s goals.”
What drew you to a career with Motion Connected?
“In transitioning from a VC backed company I was looking for a private company with a stable financial foundation and strong leadership vision. Having worked as a partner with Motion Connected for a number of years I was confident they ticked these boxes. In addition, I was familiar with the robust and flexible IT platform that provided a strong foundation for future growth and innovation.”
What are some of your proudest career moments at Motion Connected?
“My proudest achievement with Motion Connected has been developing a long-term partnership with Cleveland Clinic Employee Health Plan. Initially this involved successfully navigating a detailed RFP process that resulted in launching their branded Healthy Choice portal in 2016. Since then, I have focused on managing and developing a comprehensive partnership that continues to actively engage their members in healthy behaviors while supporting the administrative needs of the health plan.”
What interests or hobbies do you pursue outside of work?
“I enjoy spending time with family and friends, particularly my wife and two daughters – sports, movies, outdoor activities, and community events take up the bulk of my time out of the office.”
